Sora at on the Popu tree looking out at the sea. He let out a sigh and looked up at the sky. He closed his eyes and let the sun's heat and light soak into his skin.
"Where are Kairi and Riku at? We were suppose to meet here several minutes ago. It's not like them to be late," he said to himself. He opened his eyes and looked at the main island. He could still see Kairi's and Riku's boat still there. He looked down and let out a sigh.
"I guess I'll just meet them here tomorrow." He jumped of the tree and into the water below and walked up to the shore. He then made his way to his boat. He hopped into it and rowed back to the main island.

Sora stood on the beach looking out at the sea. He picked up a rock and skipped it on the surface of the water.
"For once it's starting to warm up," he said out loud. He picked up another rock and skipped it again. He looked around him the island and let out a sigh.
"It's kinda quiet here." He then smiled and flopped back on to his back and looked up at the sky. 'For once I can nap without being woken up.' He then closed his eyes and let the sound of the ocean put him to sleep.

Riku got to the island "fashionably" late. He walked up to where Sora was with his hands in his pockets, then sat down next to the brunet. He was debating between waking him up and leaving him alone.
I could let him sleep... he does look pretty comfortable... he thought, then flopped back onto the sand. He reached over and tapped the back of Sora's hand, hoping to wake him up.

Sora laid on the beach letting the sun warm his skin. He started to wake up when he felt a shadow over him. It then left and then he felt someone touch his hand. He jumped at least five feet in the air and landed flat on his back. He then looked at the person who woke him up.
"Riku?! What... When did you get here? And where's Kairi at?" He then sat up and dusted off the sand off his back and hair.

Riku chuckled, wrapping his arms around his knees as he sat and looked out at the ocean. "I don't know. I haven't seen her for a while. Were you talking in your sleep, or was I imagining that?" he teased, looking over at Sora. He brushed his hair back from his eyes, revealing his aqua colored eyes, shimmering in the reflection of the water.
Riku really hadn't seen Kairi, not that he was bothered by that. The last time he saw her, he still wasn't all that proud of himself.

Sora blushed and looked away from Riku.
"What?! No I wasn't talking in my sleep," he said loudly. He then looked out at the ocean and rested his head on his knees.
"I wonder where Kairi has been at. It's never like here to be gone for this long. Maybe a day or two, but never this long." Sora let out a sigh and stood up. He took off his shoes and socks and walked into the water. The water licked his ankels.
"I wonder when King Micky wants us to start our journy again." He stood in the water facing the setting sun.

Riku chuckled. "I was just teasing. I don't know where she is though, really, last time I saw her, I was hanging out with both of you," he said, shrugging. He leaned back on his hands, crossing his legs. He thought about getting up and tackling Sora into the water, but now didn't seem like the time.
"I don't know... I haven't heard from him for a while, have you?" Riku asked, getting up. He took off his shoes and rolled up his jeans, joining Sora at the water's edge.

Sora shook his head.
"Sure you were Riku," he laughed. He then heard Riku walk up next to him.
"No I haven't heard from him yet. The only time I did was when we got that letter from him and that was the last time I saw Kairi as well." He looked at Riku for the corner of his eye and then back out at the ocean.
"I hope she's okay. She may have a keyblade now, but that doesn't always keep you safe. Does it Riku?" Sora remember that he couldn't save Kairi when he first got the Keyblade and had gotten caught by the Organization XIII and then put to sleep for a year. Even with the Keyblade he was still their pawn then. 'Be safe Kairi. Please be safe.' He thought.

Riku winced, almost like Sora had hit him. He still felt horrible about how he'd acted in The World That Never Was, even if he had helped Kairi escape from the Organization. "No, I guess it doesn't... But it's always kept you safe, except for that time I took it from you. I don't know why you're still friends with me," Riku commented. He'd been nothing but a jerk to Sora since they'd started trying to leave Destiny Islands.
The silver haired teen sighed, shaking his head. Sora had always been too nice of a guy, not that Riku was complaining. He'd rather have him as a friend than have no friends at all. "If you're worried, we could try going to Disney Castle, to see if the King's okay at least, to see if there's anything he needs or wants from us," Riku suggested.

Sora smirked at Riku.
"True, though that was a dick move Riku," he said with a laugh. Sora then let out a sigh.
"I guess we could always do that. It would give us something to do then sit around here being bored out of our minds." Sora then put his hands behind his head and looked up at the sky.
"We could always leave some time tomorrow. I know my mom wants be back in time for dinner." He then turned to Riku. "So tomorrow then." He then walked back up onto the beach, grabbed his shoes and socks and started walking towards his boat.
"I'll meet you here alright Riku." He yelled before he hopped into his boat and made his way to the main Island and then to his home.

"Yeah, yeah, rub it in," Riku grumbled. He still resented what he had done in Hollow Bastion, now that he'd had time to think about it.
The silver haired teen nodded as Sora ran off. "Yeah, Sora. See you tomorrow," he chuckled. He waited for a few minutes, letting the sun set, then getting in his own boat and going home.
---~~~---
Riku was on the island the next day, sitting on the beach. He was waiting for Sora, with his feet in the water, just letting the water lap at his feet. It really did feel good to be back here, even if he still felt like he didn't deserve it. He hadn't spent a lot of time explaining to his parents that he would be gone again. He left them a note that said he would be back soon and he hoped they wouldn't be mad this time. They probably would.
