Saix had been blatantly avoiding the place he called his home as a Nobody. He missed it, yes, but he almost would have sworn he was angry at the place. Yes, the entire world. Also, the entire motley crew that was once made up the population of The World that Never Was. They were on his list as well. One by one, they had all failed... including Saix, and he was incredibly conflicted about that. He thought he felt angry, but he remembered how that feeling felt, and he was holding onto it like a desperate man.
During his travels, Saix had stumbled across the Pride Lands. As soon as he set foot on the ground, he knew this place was strange. Instead of being a tall man with blue hair, he was a dark colored lion with a muted blue mane. He shook out his new hair, shaking his body almost like a dog. Saix didn't really mind the change; he felt almost more powerful like this than he had before.
"I wonder what I'll find here..." Saix said to himself. He was quiet, as he knew there were no people around, but he heard motion behind him. Several small Heartless appeared, and they were quickly destroyed with Saix's teeth and claws. The Diviner grinned darkly. This would be a fabulous place to take out his frustrations... But he needed to establish a few things first.
Throughout the course of the day, Saix discovered that there was a large rock, inhabited by other lions who were less than friendly towards him, a strange jungle-like area that seemed entirely out of place, and a graveyard filled with gigantic bones. After soundly beating the inhabitants of the graveyard, Saix found one of the largest skulls, and decided that he wound end up resting there, underneath the symbol of death. He wasn't ready to rest yet, however, and he set out for the plains, destroying Heartless wherever he went.
After a few hours, Saix returned to the skull he had claimed earlier. A snap of his jaws reminded the hyenas in the graveyard that this was his area now, and they'd have to get used to that. The Luna Diviner curled himself up inside the open jaw of the skull, looking out at the sky as the sun set. It was a clear night, and the moon shone brightly, rekindling Saix's previously exhausted anger. With a deep growl, Saix moved to the back of the skull, where the moonlight could not bother him.

Xemnas needed a brake from the lonely, empty castle. He wanted to go somewhere far away where no one would most likely recognize him. Sighing, Xemnas looked to the sky, this world was different, and strange. It was the Pride Lands, a wild place with Animals of every kind.
"what is this?" he muttered to himself as he looked at his hands, er....paws. He seemed to be in an oasis of some sort, so he decided to look at his reflection in the water of a pond. Seeing it caused the Superior to jump back a bit, He had turned into a Lion! His fur was pitch black with a Large silver mane that only the grandest Lions bore.
Shaking his body a bit, Xemnas clawed at the ground a bit. feeling the earth under his paws. He'd herd of this land in the paperwork of the other organization members while on their missions. Xemnas himself never wet out to do anything so he never got to see this world with his own two eyes. The air was so crisp, clean, and fresh.
Walking away from the bushes of the oasis, Xemnas stepped out into the wide open area of the plains. the ground was more dry here, and there were no trees. Far ahead of him, he could see a large rock of some sort. But that area looked to happy and lifelike, he needed somewhere dark and gloomy. so he walked in the direction of the Elephant Graveyard.
A few Hyenas snapped at him as he walked by, but all Xemnas had to do was let out a loud roar, or swipe at them with his claws, Some were even scared of just his glaring orange eyes. Looking around the wind blew causing his long silver mane to flow lightly.
Once the sun started to set, Xemnas' eyes shinned slightly as he looked around himself. He saw another Lion laying in the open mouth of a large skull. Paying him no mind, Xemnas continued to walk about a foot away before having to take another snap the hyenas.

Saix had barely started to relax when he felt the presence of someone else in the area he had claimed for his own. He saw the shape of another lion go by his makeshift cave, and he started to growl. He stood up slowly, incredibly aggravated that he had to move his now-weary joints and bones after his long day of fighting. As soon as the other lion had passed, he stalked out behind it, almost swearing that the mane of the other lion looked shockingly familiar...
The Diviner stalked the other lion, but from a higher, more shady point. He didn't want to be seen immediately, and he was watching the other lion very cautiously. He thought it was Xemnas... But it couldn't be, could it? It was possible, he figured, since he himself had returned, but how could Xemnas have found him here? Had he been looking for him? Had the Superior somehow known where to find him? Saix was already somewhat furious with the silver-haired Nobody; it would have just enraged him further if Xemnas really HAD been specifically looking for him. The small rational part of Saix's brain told him that there was no way the Superior could have been expecting to find him here. Besides, Xemnas had walked right by him, practically ignoring him.
Of course, that was another mistake, as far as Saix was concerned. Xemnas should know better to ignore him, the Diviner thought.
Saix caught up to Xemnas's lion-form, and he jumped. Saix had been about ten feet up, so he hit the Superior with enough momentum to knock him off his feet, but Saix didn't move to pin him, just to tackle him. The Diviner skidded across the ground a yard or two, still growling at the other transformed Nobody. "What are you doing here?" Saix snarled.

Xemnas could hear a low growl sound from somewhere behind him, yet he payed to mind to it. He figured it was that Lonely lion he'd noticed being Territorial of his little home. Though Xemnas was just passing by, exploring the area to find new things, and maybe he'd find something strong enough to create new nobodies.
Letting out a snarl when he was suddenly knocked to the ground, Xemnas stood before shaking himself off. If he had been more use to being in a lion body, he most likely would have been able to dodge it, or stayed on his feet.
Clearly the other Lion wasn't happy with him being here, but why did the lion seem familiar. the way he moved, spoke, and even looked at him with that hateful stair. It was all the same. "Saix?" he asked with a confused tone to his voice. "Is that you?" The superior was almost hoping it was Number Seven. It would mean he wasn't alone, that he hadn't been the only one that returned. Banning the Organization back together would be a grand and wonderful thing.
"I was just passing through..." he answered the clearly angry nobody lion in front of him, "If your back as well...then are the others too?" he asked curiously. Looking away from Saix's angry look, Xemnas turned his face away. "why are you looking at me like that?...." he asked, "Just because the organization fell apart...I'm Still your superior....and I should be treated with respect" he spoke with a low growl.
Xemnas really didn't want to start a fight, he just wanted the organization back so he can gain his power quicker then before. that and it was just too quiet and lonely in the castle by himself.

Saix refused to speak calmly to Xemnas. He was upset, and he thought he had every right to be. He would've been happy to see anyone, even Demyx, but no, it had to be Xemnas, and the Superior seemed to have no idea what had the Diviner pissed off. "Yes, it's me. Glad you're so happy to see me," the Diviner growled darkly. He had hoped that the Superior would at least sound a little happy to see him, not confused that he was there.
"I don't know if anyone else is back, and I honestly don't care. You led us all to our deaths, pretty much, so why shouldn't I be looking at you like this?" Saix growled. He wasn't necessarily in the mood for a fight, because he knew that Xemnas could probably beat him, but he would have settled for a few blows back and forth, just to calm him down or something...
"You're only my Superior if the Organization gets back together. As far as I'm concerned, you've lost my respect, and you're not my Superior anymore," Saix said. His voice dropped and he sat down, still tense, but shifting from anger to disappointment. He had admired and been happy to follow Xemnas before, but the Superior had abandoned them all, more or less, even if he had died for the same cause. It would take a lot of convincing to make the Diviner calm down at this point.

Xemnas looked at Saix feeling a bit hurt, the Diviner use to be so loyal to him, but the power got to the superior's head and he ruined everything for everyone it seemed. Saix seemed pissed that he was here, but why? what happened to have his loyalties change? "I am Happy to see you....im just still shocked that everyone is appearing again....after all...we were dead..."
Xemnas didn't like the growl that erupted from Saix's throat, it was angry and mean, not like him at all. "I...." Xemnas stopped before looking away, a look of shame appearing on his face. "I ruined everything for everyone...I know..." he spoke calmly, "but doesn't everyone deserve a second chance?" he asked.
Walking closer to Saix, the superior let out a sigh, "how can you say something like that...I'll always be your superior....theres noting you can do to forget about me...I'll always be here..." he spoke with a slight smile. "Now....why dont you just come back to the castle with me?...you can blow off some steam there...." he chuckled, though he knew Saix would disagree. "If i had another chance....I'm quite sure we'd all succeed this time around..."
Xemnas sighed again as he playfully slapped Saix's lion mane with his large paw, "stand by my side again Saix....please?" the truth was, Xemnas actually missed everyone, but mainly the Luna diviner himself....

Saix seemed to start calming down, relaxing his frizzed up mane, and slowly untensing his muscles. "Why should you be surprised that everyone's coming back? You came back, didn't you?" the Diviner asked with a weak sigh. He still wasn't thrilled with the Superior. The man had made and broken promises, and that was something that Saix didn't take well.
"And why should I give you a second chance? I was devoted to your cause for a bit more than a year, and we all failed in the end, even you. You let all of us die before you did because you wanted your heart, regardless of if the rest of us got ours. That's why you aren't my Superior anymore. You were willing to sacrifice the rest of us to get what you wanted, and forget us all if you got your heart back. What were you going to do, once you got your heart? Have a beer and laugh at those of us who didn't make it?" Saix asked. He was no longer growling, but he still didn't sound happy. The tone in his voice was purely upset, but Saix was still pretty sure he had a good reason to be.
When Xemnas swatted at his head, Saix shuddered a little, trying to ignore the fact that Xemnas had touched him... "I'm not ready to go back to the castle yet, Xe-... Superior. I died there... I'm honestly a little afraid to go back. I don't even know if I want to try getting our hearts back again. We ended failure last time, how can you say this time will be any better?" the Diviner said. He could not, try as he might, call Xemnas by his name. No matter how angry he was, Saix was so used to having Xemnas be his Superior...

Xemnas watched as Saix began to calm himself down, which was a good thing, Xemnas really didn't need any damage to himself happening when he wasn't quite use to being in a lion, let alone any animal's body in the first place. "and im still shocked by my own return Saix....I'm curious as to how this is happening..." he explained as he sat back on his haunches.
Somehow, some way, Xemnas needed to gain the berserker's trust again, maybe if he made Saix believe it was all a mistake, an accident, 'something! then maybe he could slowly worm his way back to the lovely Diviner's side. "Saix..." he spoke with a saddened tone of voice, "I truly didn't mean to hurt you...any of you...I was weak...I couldn't obtain our goal...our wishes...hopes...and dreams...It was so close but yet i couldn't grasp it" he sighed as he looked away, hoping Saix would fall for it. "It was all his fault..." the Dark lion continued, "I would have been able to accomplish our goal if that wretched Key bearer hadn't gotten in the way...."
Looking at Saix in the eyes, he kept the saddened look playing across his features, "but your wrong saix...they rushed out there to risk their lives...and with every one of them that fell...It hurt me each time...but you...it hurt me the most when you fell my pet" he spoke with a purr, "Never say that i don't care...because i really do..." Shaking his head, the silver mane flowed around him, shimmering slightly, "no Saix...I'd mourn the loss of those who I've considered the closest family I've ever had..."
there was some truth in that, even now, without the other Organization members running around, it seemed kinda quiet and lonely within the castle walls. Xemnas Actually wanted everyone back, he wanted the loudness, the crazy utter stupidity and sheer chaos everyone caused. "I'm lonely Saix."
Taking in a breath, Xemnas tried to come up with something that would be good enough for Saix to deal with, "then we won't go back...." he began, "who says we need hearts to live normally?...we can....play it out....act like were normal...and if everyone seriously wants their hearts back then who knows...maybe we can try again....just at a slower pace..."

Saix was quiet for a few moments, taking in what Xemnas had said. He especially didn't want to go back to the castle, but he was still unsure of even being in the vicinity of Xemnas. The Superior had a way with Saix... No matter what the Diviner wanted to do, he was always incredibly easily swayed by the silver-haired Nobody... and it drove him crazy.
"You let us all go first. If you cared, and you knew Sora's strength, why didn't you stop us? Have us trap him... avoid fighting him... something..." the Diviner asked quietly. He was visibly upset, and his voice betrayed him as well. He didn't want to let Xemnas sway him again. He didn't want to die again, even if Xemnas was being truthful. He didn't have a response to the Superior missing him; in fact, he practically ignored it, because he didn't want to be coerced.
The Luna Diviner shook his head slowly. "Why didn't we just do that in the first place, Superior? Couldn't we just pretend? I mean, we all remembered what our emotions felt like... Why couldn't we just stay that way? Kingdom Hearts would have been finished eventually... The keybearer was collecting hearts for us before he even knew about us... Why did it turn out this way?" Saix asked, looking to the side and glaring at the ground. He didn't have it in him to glare at the Superior.

Silently, Xemnas watched the Diviner as he seemed to think over what the superior had said. "I thought we had him..." Xemnas Breathed heavily, "I was sure we'd win...I just...underestimated the keyblader...." he spoke with a sigh. "I would have stopped everyone from fighting him if I wasn't so thick headed..."
He wanted to have Saix, and everyone else to be by his side again, he needed them, but most of all, he needed the berserker before him most of all. "I won't let you die again Saix...It's much too lonely without you..." he spoke as if he were reading Saix's mind. There was more truth in those words then he meant to use, maybe it was actually true then?
If Xmenas had a heart, it would have hurt him to be utterly ignored like that, but he hadn't a heart, none of them did. And no matter how hard they tried, would they ever really accomplish that goal? "because...I thought I'd make you happy if You got your heart back..." he spoke with a sigh, "I let that get to my head too much and made me crave to see a smile on your face....one that was the cause of me..."

"How could you think we'd win? He defeated all of us, then when it was down to the two of us, you let me face him by myself. How could you think the outcome would be different than what it was?" Saix asked, starting to growl again. He was trying his best to stay calm, but it just wasn't working anymore.
The Diviner ignored Xemnas's comment about Saix dying again. Saix was practically suicidal at the moment; he had hoped he wouldn't see Xemnas until he would calm down, but the Superior had shown up far too early for that. Saix was still mad, with good reason, he thought, at Xemnas. He heard the words from his Superior's mouth, but he barely believed them. How could the Superior be lonely? All he'd ever needed was his office and Kingdom Hearts, and that always seemed to be enough for him.
"I've smiled because of you before. But what does it matter? We might as well have had hearts, for how all of us behaved. If anyone had watched the day-to-day life in the castle, they wouldn't have known that we had no hearts. Why couldn't we just leave it alone?"

"How could i?" he sighed, "easy....I let the power get to my head...." which was true, there were many evils and dark users out there that simply let the power and the darkness get to their head, causing it to over power them, and eventually resulting in their downfall. "I wish I hadn't Saix.....I was stupid....I lost you because I was careless" Saying all of this to the diviner, he was beginning to believe it himself. Was all of this more true then he originally thought?
'damn this world for turning me into a lion....' he thought to himself. Xemnas wanted to reach out and touch Saix's face, run his fingers through that silky blue hair, 'Am I growing......soft?' Indeed it seemed to be the case.
Xemnas didnt really like hearing the Growl come from Saix's throat, specially when it was directed at himself. He'd much rather hear a purr or a chuckle. "I know...I know....and we could have left it alone...i was just too stupid to see that...I was too power hungry and focused on accomplishing goals more then i was anything else...." he sighed again as he looked away, a look of guilt written across his face.

Saix shook his head, sighing. He really hadn't wanted to see the Superior, but it could've been any number of other people that he REALLY didn't like. It could've been worse. He started to walk, passing within a foot of Xemnas's shoulder.
"Words mean nothing, especially from the man that lead me to my death. You can say whatever you like to me, but don't try to sound like you care, or you have any feelings for me. I know you don't," he said, stopping when he was shoulder-to-shoulder with Xemnas.
He started walking again, heading back to the elephant skull he'd claimed for himself. He didn't really care if Xemnas followed him, he just didn't want to stay here. He was tired.

Xemnas sighed as saix walked closer, "I didn't mean to-" cutting himself off he looked away again, at the ground this time to lightly kick at a rock with his lion paws. "one of these days....we could have had feelings again...but i took it too far...." Xemnas wanted to Nuzzle saix's shoulder, but the other nobody walked away too soon.
Fallowing Saix, the Superior stayed just outside the opening of the skull. he sat back on his haunches, allowing his orange eyes to watch Saix. The nobody seemed tired, exhausted maybe? or maybe just tired of him being here? if it was the second one, Xemnas would care, he would have stayed anyway.
He needed to find a way to gain their trust again, and it all started his his old faithful pet right. or would the Superior have to go against his own wishes and find a new right hand man? 'I don't want anyone else....' he thought with a sigh before flopping down, his eyes still locked on Saix.

Saix growled a little, opening one eye and keeping it on the Superior. The yellow from his eyes was seeping out into the white parts; he started to lose himself sometimes in the moonlight, especially when he tired himself out, like he had done today. His lip curled away from his teeth a little, but he was still calm, not quite berserk yet.
"What do you not understand, Xemnas? You ruined all of us. You killed us. Right now, why would I want to see you?" he growled. His pupils were turning to slits and starting to almost disappear. He wasn't choosing to go berserk, he was losing to his exhaustion and the moon that was rising in the world.
